Kitchen Curtains

Kitchen curtains soften a room that’s otherwise full of hard surfaces, and they give you privacy at the sink without blocking the daylight you need for cooking. Short café curtains, gingham panels and valances are the classic choices for a cottage or farmhouse feel.Go for shorter drops that stop at or just above the sill, well clear of the hob and the tap. Café curtains on a tension rod cover only the lower half of the window, so you keep the light but lose the view from the street. Cotton and polyester blends cope better with steam and splashes, and you’ll want something that goes in the washing machine. Measure the rail width and drop in centimetres, as many sizes are listed in inches. In a kitchen-diner, a thermal or blackout pair can help on colder evenings.See tea towels and table linen in our kitchen textiles.
