Kitchen ceiling lights need to do more than look good. They’re the main source of light for chopping, cooking and washing up, so brightness and coverage matter as much as style. Linear LED panels and battens suit utility areas and long galley kitchens. For colour temperature, a neutral 4000K works well for food prep, and warmer 2700K to 3000K feels more relaxed over a dining table. Check the bulb type (GU10, E14, E27 or integrated LED) and, for downlights, the cut-out diameter.
