Furniture

Bedroom furniture here is focused on one corner of the room that tends to get overlooked: the spot where you get ready each morning. A dressing table and a comfy stool give make-up, skincare and hair tools a proper home, rather than leaving them spread across the bedside table or the bathroom shelf. Most of the designs pair a desk with a mirror, and many add built-in lights with adjustable brightness and warm-to-cool settings, which helps if the room is short on daylight. Look at how many drawers you need, whether open shelves or a hairdryer holder would earn their keep, and how much floor space you can spare. Measure the wall first, and check there’s a socket nearby for lit mirrors. Stools come in linen, teddy velvet and storage versions that double as somewhere to stash slippers.See every option in dressing tables and vanity stools, or get layout tips from our small bedroom ideas.
